Police are searching for the suspects behind multiple armed robberies at subway stations throughout the Bronx.
Police say within the span five days, there were four different armed robbery incidents reported. They say two of them took place at the East 143rd and Saint Mary's Street station.
Surveillance video released by police show a man on a scooter take out a gun as he rolls past the victim sitting on a bench. Police say this incident happened on Halloween.
Authorities say the gunman demanded the victim's phone, but was unsuccessful.
About 10 minutes later, within the same station, two gunmen ambushed a 26-year-old couple while three other men acted as lookouts, authorities say.
The suspects made off with iPhone, AirPods and $200 in cash.
Police also say they’re looking for men seen in surveillance pictures who showed a gun and stole an iPhone and a backpack from a teenage boy at the East 238th Street and Nereid Avenue station.
Officers say that incident happened right before another robbery inside the East 219th Street station, where a suspect attempted to rob a man sitting on a bench.
They say the victim immediately ran down the stairs to get away and wasn't injured.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD.
News 12 reached out to the MTA to find out how it plans to combat these robberies. It said in part, “Our first priority is the safety of transit riders and employees, which makes recent incidents in which guns were displayed repugnant and unacceptable."
