Police are asking for help identifying a woman they say pulled a knife on a beauty salon worker—right after getting a facial in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
It happened on Friday, May 16, around 2:20 p.m. at Shikha Beauty Salon, located at 1304 Fulton St.
According to police, the woman came in for a facial and everything seemed normal—until the appointment ended.
That's when officers say the woman was asked to pay, pulled out a knife, and stole $400 from a 48-year-old employee.
She then ran out of the shop. No one was hurt.
The NYPD released a surveillance photo of the woman.
Investigators say she was last seen wearing a red scarf over her hair, a black hoodie, and black pants.
If you recognize her, police are asking you to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
