Police are searching for a man who they say has been impersonating a police officer and soliciting donations for sick children. 
Officials say that the impersonator identifies himself as Sgt. Russo, but his real name is Richard Gomez.
Gomez has allegedly gone to three businesses asking for money, one in Brooklyn and two in the Bronx. 
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Gomez is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
