Police are searching for a man they say has stolen dozens of smartphones from stores across the city since February.
Officials say the suspect has stolen from different retail stores in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and some of the thefts have been caught on surveillance video.
Authorities say the man has a pattern of going into a mobile store and taking two phones, typically display phones, at a time.
Three of the stores in Brooklyn include a T-Mobile on Fifth Avenue, T-Mobile on Nostrand Avenue and an AT&T store on Kings Highway.
The value of those stolen phones is estimated at more than $12,000.
