Police say the suspect wanted in Monday's shoe store shootout that injured two innocent bystanders, turned himself in today.
Authorities say Gerald Spears, 23, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, assault and reckless endangerment.
Police say Spears and Kenneth Meeks, an employee at the Rugged Sole shoe store in Crown Heights, exchanged gunfire in the store. A 34-year-old man was hit in the arm and a 12-year-old boy was hit in the leg. Both were taken to Kings County Hospital and are expected to make full recoveries.
Meeks was also arrested on the same charges.
