Police: Shots fired between police and individual in the Bronx

The NYPD says a shooting incident occurred between police and an alleged shooter in Morrisania.

The NYPD says a shooting incident occurred between police and an alleged shooter in Morrisania. There were two total suspects involved in the shooting.
The incident, which took place at the intersection of Third Avenue and East 167th Street, hasn’t resulted in any injuries so far. They say the incident took place at approximately 6 p.m. 
Police on scene told News 12 that the police engaged with two men with a gun seen going down Third Avenue. Shots were fired after the two males were approached, but as of right now police cannot determine who shot first or how the gun was seen on the two men. 
A gun magazine was recovered at the scene that did not belong to the NYPD.
Police have yet to determine what caused the shots to be fired between police and the unknown individual.
