A verbal dispute over the president-elect allegedly escalated into violence this past weekend, leaving one man in a coma and the other in jail.
Investigators say 19-year-old Angel Morano, a college student from SUNY Oswego, is in serious condition after a clash with Army soldier Kevin Flanagan in a pizza parlor on the Oswego campus. Court documents state that Morano was blindsided by Flanagan while defending President-elect Barack Obama from derogatory remarks.
Friends describe Morano as a proud Obama supporter. They also say the alleged assault is hard for Morano?s family.
?It's hard to see his grandma like this,? says childhood friend Steven Cabrera. ?It's a sad situation for all of us.?Charges against Flanagan have not yet been made public.
