Police are searching for a suspect in a crash that sent a stolen car and another vehicle into The Woman, Infants and Children Center of the Brooklyn Hospital Center.
Fire officials tell News 12 they responded to calls of a car into a building just after 10:30 a.m. at 485 Coney Island Ave.
Police say the incident started after a 2016 black Ford Expedition was stolen from a car wash and fled the scene.
The suspect lost control of the car, crashing into a parked, unoccupied Honda Accord and sending both vehicles into the building. The NYPD was on-site to manage the removal of the two cars. The NYPD says the suspect fled the scene on foot.
According to the Department of Buildings, four individuals were injured in the incident and transported to a nearby hospital. The DOB has issued a full vacate order of the entire building and have ordered the building owner to seal up the structure in the interest of public safety.
