Police: Suspect wanted following fatal shooting of 21-year-old man in Crown Heights

This latest incident comes as shootings are down across the city by around 25% compared to this time last year.

Police say a suspect is on the loose after fatally shooting a 21-year-old man Monday night on Carroll Street.
Law enforcement say they got a 911 call for a person shot at 991 Carroll St. around 7:30 p.m. When they arrived, they say they found the victim with bullet wounds throughout his body. The victim was rushed to NYC Health and Hospital/Kings County where he was pronounced deceased.
The shooting happened between Bedford and Franklin avenues around the corner from Medgar Evers College. It's not clear why the man was shot or if he knew the perpetrator.
This latest incident comes as shootings are down across the city by around 25% compared to this time last year. In the 71st Precinct specifically, they are down by around 33%.
Police say no arrests have been made.
