The colleagues of fallen Det. Didarul Islam walked his children to school for their first day.

Det. Islam left behind two children and a pregnant wife when he was shot and killed in July while working a security detail in Manhattan. Since then his wife has given birth, and his two kids started school today.

But the walk to school looked a bit different for them today. An army of blue uniforms from the 47th Precinct where their dad worked and Detectives Endowment Association and PBA.

A testament to the brotherhood these officers are apart of.
