Police are warning of a possible number pattern after two local store owners were murdered in the past month.
According to investigators, the person behind the crimes may be obsessed with the numbers one, seven and eight in street addresses. They say the first shopkeeper was killed at 7718 Fifth Ave. in Bay Ridge, and the second was murdered at 1877 86th St. in Bensonhurst.
Cops say that the same .22-caliber gun was used to kill Mohammad Gebeli at his clothing shop and Isaac Kadare inside his 99-cent store.
