Police say a woman was found dead with a wire wrapped around her neck Wednesday evening inside an East New York apartment.
Authorities say police were called to the scene on Flatlands Avenue for a wellness check.
Once inside, police say they found the woman face up on the living room floor with the wire wrapped around her neck.
Police had not yet identified the woman pending family notification as of Thursday night.
The medical examiner will determine her cause of death.
