Prison guards scared for their lives and their jobs spoke out at city hall against maximizing inmate populations.Corrections Officers for Change says a proposal to maximize prison populations throughout the state will lead to overcrowding in New York?s prisons. The group says the new proposal will lead to rates of one guard for every 120 inmates.
