A week after a Brooklyn Technical High School principal resigned, an investigation shows Lee McCaskill lied under oath and forged documents.
McCaskill resigned amid allegations he enrolled his daughter in a city school without paying tuition. His family lives in New Jersey. Under state law, non-city residents must pay fees in order for their children to attend city schools. Investigators say when asked about the allegations, McCaskill gave contradictory testimony and submitted fake leases.
As a result of the investigation findings the Department of Education says it will move to fire McCaskill?s wife, a social studies teacher at Boys and Girls High School in Brooklyn. A department spokesperson says McCaskill?s wife was reassigned to a regional office when the investigation began.
