Prosecutors: 5 arrested in $2M drug bust at Bronx apartments

Authorities announced Thursday the arrest of five people and the seizure of about $2 million worth of heroin and fentanyl pills in connection to an alleged drug operation out of two Bronx apartments.

Prosecutors: 5 arrested in $2M drug bust at Bronx apartments
Authorities announced Thursday the arrest of five people and the seizure of about $2 million worth of heroin and fentanyl pills in connection to an alleged drug operation out of two Bronx apartments.
Officials say drug enforcement agents recovered approximately 11 kilograms of suspected heroin in brick form, over 100,000 filled individual dose glassine envelopes of heroin, as well as 500 fentanyl and $60,000 cash.

The bust came after an investigation by New York drug enforcement agents and the Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s Office’s at the alleged heroin packaging mill at 2030 Valentine Ave.
Multiple cellphones and drug records were also seized.
The suspects face charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first and third degrees and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

They are scheduled for arraignments later today in Manhattan Criminal Court.
