Cars will no longer be allowed on Prospect Park's West Drive now that new driving restrictions are in effect.
A sign posted near the Prospect Park entrance in Grand Army Plaza warns drivers that they cannot access the park on West Drive there.
The road used to be open to motorists for two hours on weekday afternoons.
The parks commissioner says the administration is continuing to look at ways to completely eliminate cars from this green space.
A spokesperson says the Department of Transportation conducted extensive studies and expects this won't impact traffic or travel time.
