The Jewish Voice for Peace hosted a protest on Tuesday evening to demand Sen. Chuck Schumer stop sending weapons to Israel.
Demonstrators gathered at Grand Army Plaza in the latest wave of protests about the ongoing conflict.
"We've gotten a little off the deep end with being angry with each other instead of talking to each other. It's somehow made that, that much worse,” said Miriam, a Jewish New Yorker.
Protesters sat in a semi-circle and listened to speakers talk about those impacted by the conflict overseas. They sang in unison calling for peace and a cease-fire.
Protesters were seen wearing T-shirts with messages that aligned with their end goal, all while participating in what they called a Passover Seder.
“I am standing up for the people who are hoping for peace,” said Miriam.
Other protesters told News 12 while Seder is something that is celebrated at home with family, they enjoyed sharing it this year with those sharing their cause.
