Protesters march across Brooklyn Bridge against immigration policies
A massive movement of New Yorkers took to the streets Saturday for the Families Belong Together National Day of Action.
The movement calls for an end to President Donald Trump's immigration policies and the reunification of children and parents who were separated at the U.S. border.
The New York City movement marched in sweltering temperatures across the Brooklyn Bridge.
Attendees called Trump's zero-tolerance immigration policy for a "zero-humanity" policy, and demanded that affected families be reunited immediately.
Organizations and community members made it clear that they would not stop fighting until families are reunited.
The event in the city coincided with hundreds of other Families Belong Together rallies in cities and towns across the country.
