Students at P.S. 100 got to cut class Tuesday as a reward for not missing a day of school this year.
Instead of sitting in a classroom, the students got to spend part of their day at the First Level Café. The kids enjoyed a free breakfast at the coffee shop and got a much-needed chance to relax as they prepare for state testing.
Teachers say that being in school every day is essential to a student's success.
The owners of First Level Café told News 12 it felt good to reward students for their hard work, especially given that one of the café's staff members used to work at P.S. 100.
