An elementary school teacher in Flatbush has been arraigned on sex abuse charges.
According to prosecutors, 36-year-old Omil Carrasquillo sexually abused five female students between 10 and 11 years old at the Caton School, P.S. 249.
Kings County District Attorney Ken Thompson says the incidents of abuse stretched from Oct. 2013 until last Friday.
Carrasquillo, who has worked for the Department of Education since 2006, is due back in court on Sept. 30.
