A Brooklyn artist is chiseling out sculptures all over the city, and they aren't in museums or art galleries.
Sculptor Tom Otterness works on his pieces in his Gowanus studio, and the majority of them are displayed in public places like Downtown Brooklyn.
Otterness says he likes reaching an audience that wouldn't normally go to a museum or gallery.
Brooklyn residents who pass by the sculptures say the public art is a nice change of pace.
Otterness has been creating public art since the early 90s. His projects can take several years to complete.
The sculptor is currently preparing his next piece of work for an art exhibit in Manhattan this October.
