A Queens woman accused of fleeing unsupervised with her 7-year-old child Saturday in Carle Place is facing numerous charges.

The incident began after Charlene Smith, 41, entered a Barnes and Noble store for a supervised visitation with the child.

Police say she went on to leave the scene with the child inside her car around 1 p.m.

Nassau County police launched an extensive investigation and deployed their aviation unit.

Smith and the 7-year-old were later located in the parking lot of the Roosevelt Field Mall.

Police say the woman was arrested at the scene without incident.

The child was also hospitalized for evaluation. Medical personnel determined they had no injuries.

The charges against Smith include kidnapping, criminal contempt, child endangerment and custodial interference.
