Police are searching for six individuals they say took an out-of-service subway train for a joyride on Saturday night.

According to authorities, the group gained access to the locked R train at the 36th Street and 4th Avenue subway station. Authorities believe they used transit keys to get in.

The exact duration and distance of the joyride is unknown, but transit authorities are analyzing the train's black box data to get more information.

MTA Chair and CEO Janno Lieber is outraged by the incident, calling for accountability after the dangerous stunt.
