A new online radio station is broadcasting local-centric radio programming from the basement below a Bushwick bicycle shop.
"Radio Free Brooklyn" is a freeform digital radio station broadcasting to anyone with a computer.
"Even if you are a terrestrial radio, most of your listeners are listening online," explains one of the founders.
The station hosts a mix of shows, all produced by locals.
Tom Tenney says he helped piece the studio together on a tight budget from audio equipment he'd already had lying around and some encouragement from friends.
