The rain and wet weather has caused some flooding in Canarsie.

The area around Avenue K and East 92nd Street is entirely flooded and the water extends halfway across the crosswalk.

Several people have been walking around an enormous puddle, and venturing into the middle of the street to avoid the puddle.

Sewer drains seem to be present, but they appear to be clogged.

Nearby residents tell News 12 that sewer drains regularly clog when it rains.

News 12 has reached out to the Department of Environmental Protection to find out what is causing the sewer to clog.
