STORM WATCH: Wintry mix, rain return tonight for the Bronx

Here’s what you need to know:
  • Today will be another cloudy, cold and calm day with highs in the low to mid 30s. Snow, sleet and rain moves in tonight. The timing is after 7 p.m. tonight through 9 a.m. Thursday. A snow/mix is expected briefly around 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., changeover to sleet/rain mix after 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and after 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. it will be plain steady rain. Wet and slick travel is expected tonight into Thursday morning. Little to no snow is expected, this storm will be more wet then white.
  • We catch a break between the nonstop storms on Thursday afternoon through Friday. Thursday will be milder and breezy with highs in the mid to upper 40s.
  • Valentine's Day is bright, colder with a brisk breeze. Highs in the mid to upper 30s.
  • The third round of storms arrives this weekend. The timing is Saturday afternoon through Sunday. The storm will start as a wintry mix on Saturday and changeover to soaking rain on Sunday. Large puddles, ponding and poor visibility is possible. On the plus side, all of these storms are helping with the ongoing drought. The next drought monitor comes out tomorrow morning.
