Ready to hit the gym for the new year? Before you hop on the equipment, it's important to know how to act courteously to your fellow gym members.
News 12's Natasha Geigel caught up with Keion James, of Crunch Fitness, who had some advice on proper gym etiquette.
James says it is important to be aware of belongings, and to make sure personal items don't interfere with other people's equipment.
He also says it's important to be mindful of towels, and remember to put them in a basket when finished with them.
James says people should wipe off sweat from a machine they used to make it safer and healthier for everyone.
Also, try to limit cellphone activity when sitting on a piece of equipment, and remember to share the equipment, especially during high-traffic times.
