A Crown Heights family says police are searching for the two people responsible for shooting their son after a dispute over renting a room.
Relatives of 24-year-old Karl Orelien says he was shot in the stomach at 301 Montgomery St. at around 10:45 a.m.
Orelien's sister told News 12 that a woman who rented the room to her brother wanted him out. She says the landlord had called authorities earlier in the day to try to evict Orelien, but when that didn't work, she allegedly contacted a male relative to come to the home to shoot him.
Orelien was taken to Kings County Hospital.
The family tells News 12 that police are looking for those responsible for the crime, but their identities have not been released.
