Remnants from Ian to bring rain, breezy conditions to Long Island this weekend

WHAT'S NEW: There will be a gradual increase in cloud cover from tonight into Friday night, as moisture from IAN slowly streams up this way. Expect cooler than average temps for Friday with rain on the way for the weekend.
WHAT'S NEXT: IAN is back to being a hurricane and it's tropical moisture will eventually stream up this way over the weekend. Saturday is looking to be a soggy day, especially the morning hours. Sunday looks a touch better but not by much.
TROPICS:
IAN became a hurricane again, category 1, as of 5 p.m. Thursday. It is moving away from Florida and has it's next landfall coming Friday afternoon around Charleston, SC. Alerts are up from northern Florida and up the coast into the Carolinas. The remnant moisture will eventually travel into the Mid Atlantic States and then up towards our way by Saturday morning.
ELEVEN formed Wednesday and is located in the Central Atlantic. It has become Post-Tropical and will soon be nothing.
There is another disturbance that has a low, 30%, chance of becoming a named storm in the next five days.

FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Increasing cloud cover with a light breeze and cool feeling in the air. Lows: low 50s.
FRIDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy skies with temps running cooler than average and a northeasterly breeze. Highs: mid to upper 60s. Lows: mid 50s.
SATURDAY: Possible Weather To Watch – Moisture from IAN moves our way. Cloudy and dreary with rain chances running high for the morning hours and then a little less later on. Expect tropical downpours for the first half of the day. Highs: mid 60s. Lows: mid 50s.
SUNDAY: Remnant moisture from IAN lingers across Long Island, with on and off rain chances. Highs: low to mid 60s. Lows: low 50s.
NEXT WEEK: Rain chances fade for Monday & Tuesday but rise again for Wednesday. Temps will be mostly cooler than average.
