Subway stations across the five boroughs received a makeover just in time for the holidays as part of the MTA’s ReNEWvation project.
Thanks to the new project, stations like the Parkside Avenue subway station received new paint, ceiling repairs and a deep clean. Many stations also received new and improved lighting across the platforms and outside areas to improve safety.
So far, 51 stations have gone through the “re-new-vations” this year alone, and the MTA plans to clean up two more subway stations before 2023 ends. The program will continue through 2024.
