Rep. Watson-Coleman: Ex-Gov. Christie not a ‘viable option’ as US president

Former Gov. Chris Christie is expected to announce a second run for president next week.
The anticipation of a formal announcement is sparking a reaction from a former state lawmaker who served while Christie was governor.
Democratic Rep. Bonnie Watson-Coleman was one of Christie’s harshest critics when she was in the State Legislature. She says that she is also no fan of former President Donald Trump.
“Neither one of them is a viable option to see that our economy is strong, that jobs and manufacturing are taking place, that protection of human rights and civil rights are taking place,” Watson-Coleman said on News 12’s Power & Politics program. “Neither one of those individuals you mentioned represents any concern or consideration for those who need government to work for them.”
Christie is expected to kick off his campaign Tuesday evening with a speech in New Hampshire.
