The number of reported cases of domestic violence rose across the city last year.
According to the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence, there were 62 family-related homicides in 2013, 26 of which happened in Brooklyn. 
Police also responded to more than 280,000 domestic violence calls, which averages to about 765 incident a day.
