The report states that 30 million people used TikTok to get their news in 2022.
The report also found that the number of people who get their news from Facebook dropped 10% in the last two years, going from 54% to 44%.
Researchers say that member of Generation Z are likely putting more trust in social media influencers and creators. The site is also becoming an outlet for more serious information.
