The beach at Prospect Park that is designated for dogs will soon close for renovations, according to published reports.
The beach will close this week to make improvements which will include new paving and a new mesh fence, reports say.
The renovation also includes bringing in stone slabs from upstate New York to recreate a look similar to the Adirondacks, according to reports.
The report states that the water was known to have a toxic algae scare last year but testing has shown no cause for concern this year.
The work isn't expected to be done until spring of next year.
Dog owners say once the work is finished, it will be much more enjoyable for their pets.
