Tenants who live along East 21st Street in Flatbush say a power outage Monday caused them to brave the massive snowstorm without heat.
The tenants say they initially lost power to their apartments on Sunday and spent the night with friends. However, Monday's snowstorm caused wires in a manhole to burst into flames, again knocking out power to the building.
At the peak of the outage, Con Ed says about 650 people along East 21st Street were left without electricity and heat. The utility says their workers worked around-the-clock to fix the problem.
