Brooklyn residents celebrated The Notorious B.I.G. Tuesday on what would have been his 47th birthday.
Biggie Smalls was gunned down in Los Angeles in 1997 but his music can still be heard on the streets of Brooklyn and across the globe.
Visitors paid tribute to the rapper at his mural on the corner of Bedford Avenue and Quincy Street in Bed-Stuy Tuesday.
DJ 50 Grand discovered Biggie Smalls years ago. He was at the tribute Tuesday letting people know the words in the rapper's lyrics live on.
