Water main break adds to flooding frustrations in Gerritsen Beach
Residents in Gerritsen Beach had to deal with a serious water main break Thursday evening.
The city’s Department of Environmental Protection told News 12 they were ripping up the roads near Dare Court to try to find the source of the break.
Residents in the area say flooding from rain is also a constant source of frustration.
Superstorm Sandy caused tons of damage to homes there as well. One homeowner says the streets need to be redone, but the city hasn't done anything.
