Residents in Marine Park are getting a head start on summer this weekend amid the steamy temperatures.
Playgrounds were packed with children and families who were making the most of the sunshine, and cooling off with a dip in the spray fountains.
Residents were advised to use drink plenty of water and wear light clothing when out in the heat and humidity, as the air quality drops and the chance of dehydration rises.
News 12 meteorologists say the heat is expected to continue into the coming week, with temperatures early in the week reaching the low-90s.
