Dozens of tenants in a Bronx building are not convinced that a repaired staircase is safe after it collapsed last week.
Residents at 349 East 193rd St. were forced to stay at a Red Cross shelter this past weekend after the staircase in their building collapsed Thursday. Inspectors say the staircase is now completely safe, but residents say they aren?t convinced.
Though they are still leery about using the staircase, most tenants do say they are grateful to be back home for the holiday season.
