Outraged officials are offering a reward for information on a suspect in the robbery of a 91-year-old woman in Park Slope.
Borough President Eric Adams is proposing a $1,000 reward after saying that Elizabeth Gioino was choked and robbed at gunpoint Wednesday, and is now afraid to leave her home.
The apparent attack happened at Ninth Street and Prospect Park West on Gioino's way back from the library. Investigators also say a 50-year-old neighbor came across the two and was also robbed.
The case is being linked to the robbery of a 71-year-old woman on Feb. 11, with police saying it may be the same suspect.
The $1,000 reward is in addition to a $2,500 reward from Crime Stoppers. The stolen $175 was reimbursed to Gioino from Adams himself.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or 1-888-57-PISTA in Spanish.
