Prosecutors say Bayron Fajardo-Gonzalez attacked Tania Fox at their home in 2020 following an argument.
They say Fox and her daughter tried to hide, but Fajardo-Gonzalez found them, and stabbed Fox multiple times in the chest.
He now faces 20 years to life in prison.
