? Thousands of runners trekked through Brooklyn Saturday as part of the New York Road Runners event.
About 4,500 runners made the 13-mile journey, which started in Coney Island and ended in Prospect Park. The Road Runners hold a half-marathon in every borough leading up to the New York City Marathon. The group says Brooklyn is a great place to train because it?s mostly flat and has lots of interesting places to see.
Felipe Garcia finished first in the men?s group and Edie Perkins came in first for the women.
