Families in Roselle came together Sunday for skating and Santa at this year’s "Celebrate the Season" event.
The Warinanco Park skating rink and sports complex was filled with families and holiday cheer.
“It’s a great opportunity for kids and community members to come out and ice skate and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and celebrate the holiday season," said Union County Chairwoman Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded.
This year, it sold-out quick.
“Families are always looking for places to go and things to do as a group, so this is a great place to come," said Palmieri-Mouded.
Kids didn’t miss an opportunity to skate, no matter their skill level.
“Me and my friends have been on the ice since the very beginning and I think it’s really fun,” said one attendee.
“Great opportunity for children who haven’t skated before to have the opportunity to learn to skate, we have some of our staff members out there helping students,” said Palmieri-Mouded.
Inside, people stayed warm with hot chocolate and treats.
The annual event started in 2017.
