Rubber pieces found in cat food prompts recall
The Nestlé Purina PetCare Company has recalled a batch of Muse cat food due to rubber contaminations.
The company says that cans of Purina Muse Natural Chicken Recipe may contain yellow pieces of rubber with blue backing, which could present a choking hazard to cats.
The recall affects 3-oz cans - Best by APR2020; Production code (first 8 characters) 80941162; UPC 38100 17199. The products were distributed nationwide through pet specialty and e-commerce stores.
Nestlé says that there have been no reports of any animals suffering injury or illness due to the contamination.
