Runners from Mile Style ran 26.2 miles through the Bronx Sunday.
Eight runners began the route at 6:30 a.m. in Hunts Point, which is where the group meets to run every Wednesday evening.
Mile Style had stopped group community runs for six months during the pandemic, only starting them back up recently.
With the New York City Marathon canceled this year, members decided to still go the distance but do it only in the Bronx.
Runners ended in Concrete Plant Park with confetti and a ton of cheers from loved ones and fellow Bronx runners who were inspired. They are hoping to do a Bronx marathon again in 2021.
