A same-sex couple in Brooklyn is using reciprocal IVF to bring their baby into the world.
Chrissy and Lindsey spoke with News 12 about the process, which will allow both parents to have a biological say in their future child.
The process involves donating the eggs of one partner to the other partner.
Jaime Knopman, the director of fertility preservation for
CCRM New York told News 12 that while IVF is not something new, it can make a difference for so many families.
She says they have revolutionized an old practice as more same-sex couples come forward, wanting to be parents.
Chrissy and Lindsey say they are purchasing gender neutral clothing because they want the gender to be a surprise. They are expecting on Aug. 28.
