A heated meeting in The Bronx last night forced schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott to walk out after just 15 minutes.
Walcott was booed and heckled at Evander Childs High School by parents, students and teachers hailing from schools throughout the borough in danger of being phased out. Much of the uproar came from Lehman High School where determined parents complained they only had 30 seconds to speak during a hearing there last week.
Walcott was expected to discuss school finances and education goals, but that never happened. Those in attendance say they plan to confront him again at a town hall meeting in Brooklyn next week.
