Police are searching for an elderly woman missing from Manhattan.

News 12 is told that 80-year-old Virginia Proto was last seen Saturday leaving a relative's home on Avenue U in Gravesend.

Proto is described as 5-foot-5, weighing about 130 pounds with long red hair and brown eyes.

She is believed to have an ID holder around her neck.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police.
