A search is underway for a 56-year-old man with an intellectually disability who went missing in Mill Basin.
YAI says one of their residents went missing at the Kings Plaza Mall during an outing on Sunday evening.
Dwayne Rose was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and beige shorts. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.
YAI told News 12 he is also nonverbal and often keeps to himself.
Rose is non-confrontational and will likely be walking around, looking at the ground, trying to find something to eat.
"We just hope that somebody calls and says 'we've seen him, we have him,' and that we can go get him and bring him home," said Leanne McQueen, senior residential director at YAI.
Police ask anyone who may have seen Rose to call them and YAI at 718-913-0187.
