331ds agoSeveral seniors received COVID-19 vaccinations at a pop-up site at NYCHA'S Pink Houses in East New York on Sunday.
Melanie Hartzog, the deputy mayor for Health and Human Services, toured the Pink Houses and spoke with staff members and residents. She said it was uplifting to see many New Yorkers receive their doses.
News 12 was told over 30 seniors were vaccinated Sunday morning, and many more were scheduled for the rest of the day.
Hartzog says the city has reached 27 NYCHA developments with vaccines, and over 7,000 NYCHA seniors have been vaccinated so far.
